Debtcraft

Debtcraft is a short card-driven strategy game about debt, speculation, and the one decision that gets harder the longer you play: walking away.

You sit at an auction table, borrow money, push up prices, create a bubble, and try to cash out before liquidation turns your run into evidence. Each run is compact, usually around 5-10 minutes, and ends with a settlement report that tells you whether you left with cash, escaped small, survived narrowly, or went back to the table after already winning.

This is a free Windows playtest demo, not a finished commercial release. The current build focuses on the first playable loop:

- Play cards to gain cash, holdings, debt, desire, shame, and bubble pressure

- Watch the market interrupt your plans between turns

- Decide when a cashout is good enough

- Choose whether to leave with money or return to the table for more

- Read the settlement report and see what kind of player you became

The build supports English and Chinese. You will choose a language before entering the game.

What I am testing

I am looking for feedback on:

- Whether the English text is clear and natural

- Whether you understood when and why to cash out

- Whether the run felt too short, too long, or about right

- Whether the settlement screen explained your ending clearly

- Where you felt confused, bored, or tempted to replay

How to play

1. Download the Windows zip.

2. Unzip it.

3. Run `Debtcraft.exe`.

4. Choose English or Chinese.

5. Play one full run and leave feedback in the comments.

If Windows shows a SmartScreen warning, it is because this is an unsigned indie playtest build.
